MetaPack makes permanent CIO announcement

Steve Homan has been appointed CIO at e-commerce delivery technology venture, MetaPack. He had been interim CIO for the past four months and the announcement follows the company’s recent acquisition by Stamps.com.

Homan joined MetaPack following the departure of David Jack. “Stamps.com are the best possible buyer in our market, with a clear long-term objective to expand the business and invest in our platform,” he says.

“They have a successful track record of buying companies and encouraging high performance and I believe that they will help MetaPack to realise its full potential. MetaPack is already known for responding well and quickly to its customers, so together this will be a winning combination. It is very exciting to be involved.”

He was most recently Digital Transformation Director for a financial services organisation, and prior to that spent five years as CIO at Daily Mail Group where he managed the company’s technology transformation. He has also served as CIO at Fitness First.

John Clem, CEO at MetaPack, says: “Over the past few months Steve has been adept at quickly gaining trust and respect from both the management team and those that directly report to him.  His energy, candour and commitment to excellence are commendable and he is already playing a crucial role in helping us to build on the benefits that we offer to retailers, carriers and partners. We are delighted that he has joined our executive management team.”
