XXL rolls out Noccela tech after successful pilot
Sporting goods retailer, XXL, is expanding its cooperation with Noccela, after testing the Finnish startup’s tech in one of its stores. XXL will now be using its smart indoor positioning-based anti-theft tags in five stores across Finland, with more set to follow.
“The Noccela-protected products have been left alone,” says Iiro Oravisjärvi, Operations Manager at XXL. “We’ve been using the alarm tags on certain easy-to-steal products, and the shrinkage of these products fell to a minimum during the trial.”
“Typically, professional thieves are interested in products with a good resale value. This means new seasonal products as well as branded products. XXL sells both of these,” adds Toni Stenström, Sales Manager at Noccela. “XXL is an agile player that’s able to recognise the opportunities in new things and identify their results.”
