RBTE 2018 to showcase disruptive startups

Retail Business Technology Expo (RBTE) has partnered with business and technology consultancy, Baringa Partners, to showcase ten startups whose solutions are set to disrupt the retail sector.

Visitors to the show, set to take place in London during early May, will be able to check out the Start-Up Safari, with a line-up including:

Stowga: Pitched as the Airbnb of warehousing, Stowga is a B2B online marketplace that allows warehouses with spare capacity to connect with businesses requiring storage space.

Trunomi: Helps retailers manage customer consent for the use of their data, allowing them to build trust with customers as well as ensuring they remain GDPR compliant.

Hoxton Analytics: Uses technology, based on footfall, to provide the same level of analysis of customer behaviour that is available online. This technique allows retailers a previously untapped and accurate view of what customers are doing in-store.

Increasingly:  Uses machine learning and AI to create product bundles for customers, to increase cross-selling and improve customer experience.

Lucy Larkin, Partner in Baringa’s Consumer Products and Retail practice, says: “We have created a group of the strongest startups across a variety of retail functions. We have gone for more mature startups who are ready to work with Tier 1 retailers, but at the same time offer something fresh, new and exciting. We hope that this will give retailers and the RBTE a great, thought provoking experience on the Start-Up Safari, whether their background is technology or business, store operations, HR, digital or supply chain.”
