Natalie Massenet takes wraps off Imaginary Ventures

Net-a-Porter Founder Natalie Massenet has announced the launch of a new venture capital firm, Imaginary Ventures.

This has been set up with Nick Brown, formerly a partner at 14W Venture Partners, and will invest in “early–stage opportunities at the intersection of retail and technology in Europe and the US”. It has closed its first fund of $75 million which includes investments across the beauty, wellness, food and beverage, lifestyle and fashion sectors.

Brown comments: “The businesses that will endure in this new landscape will be those obsessed with the consumer; that build their strategy around an understanding of their consumers’ evolving needs and lifestyles and that never lose sight of them as they grow.”
