Spoon Guru wins big at The Grocer Gold awards

Spoon Guru picked up the Technology Supplier of the Year award at The Grocer Gold awards this week.

Using a combination of AI, machine learning and nutritional expertise, Spoon Guru has developed a food search and discovery engine to cater for individuals with multiple or complex search requirements. Judges described the London-based startup’s platform as ‘incredibly useful’ and stated that it ‘taps into a very current challenge for retailers’.

In May 2017, it announced its first corporate partnership, with Tesco’s online shopping platform and mobile app. The venture has just launched its consumer app in the USA, covering 90% of the online grocery market and says that it is now in “advanced commercial discussions” with retailers around the world keen to leverage its technology to provide personalised experiences and tailored choice to shoppers.
