Rakuten makes loyalty programme, crypto announcement
Rakuten’s customers in Japan can now convert the e-commerce giant’s loyalty points to such cryptocurrencies as Bitcoin and Ether.
According to a press release, this is immediately available for those who have an account with the company’s crypto exchange subsidiary, Rakuten Wallet.
With one Super Point worth one Japanese yen, users need to have at least 100 points to meet the minimum for an exchange. Crypto assets cannot be converted back into Super Points, and the amount of daily and monthly transactions are capped at 30,000 points and 100,000 points as default respectively.
