Barnardo’s captures more Gift Aid with Cybertill tech

Barnardo’s says that it generated £15 million profit in 2018 across its 700 UK stores after implementing the Cybertill CharityStore platform.

Having used the tech to access instant access to management information for one year, Barnardo’s has seen profits rise by 25%. Roy Clark, Director of Retail and Trading at Barnardo’s, comments: “Information is power. Each morning I receive a set of emails from the team at Cybertill, that shows me the KPIs (key performance indicators) and allows me to understand how the business is performing against those key metrics. It makes it easy for us to understand upward and downward trends in performance, meaning we can intervene before it’s too late.”

CharityStore makes the Gift Aid process digital, automated and compliant with HMRC and GDPR, as well as providing access to real-time data. Clark adds: “Since implementing the platform it’s not uncommon for stores to hit more than 70% Gift Aid capture.”
