Ikea tests out pop-up hotel in Taiwan
Now that’s what we call experiential retail. Ikea is opening a pop-up hotel in Taipei, Taiwan, enabling shoppers to sleep in an Ikea-styled home.
This will be available from 25th September to 30th November. There will be nine different room designs that cater to the likes of newly married couples and families with kids.
It will be possible to stay in the hotel for free if you are an Ikea cardmember. You just need to fill out an application via the hotel website. You can select room type, date and give the reason for your stay. The retailer will then assess your eligibility. Successful applicants must pay NT$500 as a refundable deposit.
