KFC UK owns the Tories on Twitter

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you will be aware that the Prime Minister Boris Johnson hilariously (ahem) called Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn a “gigantic chlorinated chicken” in the House of Commons last week.

An advert was then pushed out by the Conservatives depicting Corbyn as a chicken for his decision to block a general election. On Friday afternoon, the party’s Twitter account shared the below doctored image of a feathered Corbyn, with the caption: “Hey KFC, we’ve found an even bigger chicken than you.”

KFC was having none of it, tweeting in response: ‘This is KFC not LBC, don’t @ me’.

So, what lessons can we learn from this incident? Firstly, KFC UK need to give their social media people pay rises for the aforementioned take down and also this zinger. And secondly, the Tories really need to find someone who can come up with better jokes. That one was pathetic, guys.

Oh, last but not least, have you seen the list of 11 people that ⁦@kfc⁩ follows? These people are true Twitter geniuses.
