Six stand out retail tech funding rounds in 2020

RTIH rounds up the retail technology ventures who have been making waves with major investments.

1. Glovo

Barcelona-based on-demand delivery startup Glovo has closed a €150 million ($167 million) Series E funding round, led by Mubadala, with support from previous investors Drake Enterprises, Idinvest and Lakestar. 

2. Resident

Liquidity Capital has invested $12.5 million in Resident, a North American e-retailer that operates the furnishing brands, Nectar, DreamCloud, Level, Awara, Wovenly, Bundle and 1771 Living. 

3. SimpliField 

French startup SimpliField has closed a $11 million Series A funding round, led by Five Elms Capital. 

4. Tokinomo

Romanian venture Tokinomo has raised €700,000 in an investment round led by Early Game Ventures (EGV). 

5. StoreHub

PoS and e-commerce platform provider StoreHub has announced a $8.9 million Series A+ funding round, led by Vertex Ventures.

6. Coniq

Coniq has raised £6.4 million from the likes of Guinness Asset Management and Maven Capital Partners.
