Buymie inks same day delivery deal with Dunnes Stores
Buymie has announced a new partnership with Irish grocery chain Dunnes Stores.
This will allow customers able to order groceries from 24 stores in the greater Dublin area and in Cork City for same-day delivery. It will be possible to book slots for as little as one hour or up to seven days in advance.
Co-op partnership
Earlier this year, Co-op teamed with Buymie to offer same-day grocery deliveries and personal shopping services across Bristol.
This was the first partnership in the UK for Ireland-based Buymie.
Users of its mobile app can select from around 4,000 Co-op products, and choose a convenient delivery slot. There is no limitation on basket size. A personal shopper is then appointed. The fee is £6.99 for same-day delivery and the order is subject to a £1 processing and platform fee to cover the personal shopping offering.
Jason Perry, Co-op Head of Online Development, said: “Ease, speed and convenience is at the core of our approach. With customer experience and quality front of mind, our decision to partner with Buymie allows us to continue to expand access to our products online, and offer greater flexibility and choice to meet consumer needs in our communities.”
The service sits alongside Co-op’s own same-day online delivery offer and dedicated online shop, which the retailer expects to be available from 650 stores across the UK by the end of 2020.
