Laybuy Mania makes its UK debut this week
Buy now, pay later specialist Laybuy is set to run its deals day - Laybuy Mania - for the first time ever in the UK.
The event will see the likes of JD Sports, WHSmith and boohoo offering discounts of up to 50% off for those paying via Laybuy on Thursday. A full list of deals can be found here.
Laybuy Mania ran in New Zealand and Australia in 2018 and 2019. It arrives in the UK just over 12 months since Laybuy's launch there. The company started life in New Zealand and its ownership is split equally between the Rohloff family and investment firm Pioneer Capital.
Gary Rohloff, Co-Founder and MD, Laybuy, says: “We have always strived to provide consumers with true flexibility in the way they spend, as well as enabling them to access the best possible offers at short notice by spreading the costs at the point of purchase.”
“Laybuy Mania is a great opportunity for all our customers to take advantage of some amazing promotions outside the typical shopping season peaks.”
Klarna and Asos
Laybuy rival Klarna is today supporting the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in its response to Covid-19, by donating £1, $1 or €1 for every Klarna transaction placed at Asos.
This is taking place in Germany, Finland, Norway, United Kingdom, United States and Sweden.
Money raised for the ICRC will go towards activities such as sanitation to prevent the spread of the disease, support for vital health infrastructure such as hospitals, and towards ensuring access to clean water for countless communities.
Klarna has not placed a limit on the amount that it will donate as part of the ‘Giveback Day’.
Eve Williams, Brand Experience Director at Asos, says: “We want to do as much as we can to show our appreciation for the vital organisations that are helping during this worrying time. We are pleased to be able to extend our Asos Supports campaign to this initiative with Klarna in supporting the ICRC.”
