Adyen offers Amazon Pay to merchants
FinTech big hitter Adyen has added Amazon Pay to its payments platform
It says that its merchants can remove friction from the checkout process by allowing customers to use the information already stored in their Amazon account. They can also tap into voice commerce through Delivery Notifications via Amazon Alexa.

“We are excited about the opportunity to offer Amazon Pay’s ease of use to our partners and their shoppers,” says Patrick Gauthier, VP at Amazon Pay.
“Our aim is to provide as many Amazon customers as possible with a secure and smooth shopping experience, and our agreement with Adyen supports that goal perfectly.”
Adyen, which handles the online payments backend for the likes of Facebook and Uber, will support the offering in countries such as the UK, Germany, The Netherlands, France, Italy and Spain.
“Based on merchant demand, we’ve been working with Amazon to make it easier for our merchants to accept Amazon Pay,” comments Edgar Verschuur, Head of Global Acquiring at Adyen.
“We aim to offer as many popular payment methods, including digital wallets, to our merchants as possible. This partnership will not only offer more options for our merchants, it will help them convert more customers and drive more sales.”
