Will Doug McMillon go from Walmart to the White House?

Walmart President and CEO, Doug McMillon, will run for US President as a Democrat in 2024 or 2028.

That’s the view of Brittain Ladd, a former Amazon exec and supply chain consultant.

In a LinkedIn post, Ladd notes that McMillon is at ease speaking his mind about a myriad of social issues and can talk for hours on ways to improve the economy.

“What no one is talking about regarding Walmart is that McMillon, at a minimum, is a future candidate for the US Senate as a Democrat. McMillon can run as early as 2022 against Republican Senator John Boozman,” Ladd writes.

Innovation, that’s what we need!

Also in his LinkedIn post, Ladd observes that, on a daily basis, articles appear touting the innovation and decision-making taking place at Walmart.

“Where is all that innovation coming from? It's coming from the leadership of McMillon. He is challenging Walmart to be more like Amazon and a heck of a lot less than a traditional retailer,” he states.

“He embraces big ideas, he listens to people who offer different opinions, and he isn't afraid to make big decisions.”
