Amazon Prime Day set for 13th and 14th October
After months of uncertainty, we finally have a date for Amazon Prime Day 2020.
Various publications went live with stories last week, flagging up Tuesday, 13th October.
Amazon did not confirm those reports at the time, but on Monday morning it issued a press release stating that the two-day shopping event would indeed kick off on that date.

It will be available for Prime members in the US, UK U.A.E, Spain, Singapore, Netherlands, Mexico, Luxembourg, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, China, Canada, Belgium, Austria, Australia, and – participating for the first time this year – Turkey and Brazil.
The sale typically takes place in mid-July, but was postponed this year amidst the coronavirus outbreak as Amazon grappled with the unenviable task of handling both a surge in online orders and various rules designed to keep its warehouse workers safe.
“In the midst of an unprecedented year, we’re committed to making this the most successful Prime Day ever for our small businesses and excited for Prime members worldwide to discover new ways to support local entrepreneurs and save big on everything they need and love,” says Jeff Wilke, Amazon CEO Worldwide Consumer.
“This year’s Prime Day is the perfect opportunity for Prime members to get their holiday shopping done early from the comfort of their homes – and to have more time to spend with their families and friends throughout the season.”
