7-Eleven uses new experiential store to push PlayStation 5 launch

7-Eleven is turning the Dallas location of its "luxury" 7-Eleven Evolution Store concept into a "gaming palace" before it opens to the public.

Virtually hosted by Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, this goes live on Airbnb.com on 1st February.

To book one of two available one-night stays on Friday, 26th Feb. or Sunday, 28th Feb, people can apply online. Once a booking is approved, each stay costs just $11 and gives gamers all night access to the PlayStation 5 console.

They will also receive unlimited Slurpees and a one-hour Twitch streaming session with gamer FaZe Temperrr, founder of the FaZe Clan orgnisation.

"Everyone knows that the PlayStation 5 console launch has been one of the biggest headlines in the gaming world the past few months," says 7-Eleven Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Marissa Jarratt.

"The ultimate gamers' console warranted an experience just as exclusive in our newest 7-Eleven Evolution Store – our ultimate retail environment. We can't wait to immerse a few gamers in the limitless world of 7-Eleven."

Get What You Crave

7-Eleven and PlayStation are also teaming on a Get What You Crave promotion.

This will run at various across the US through to 23rd February. The likes of collectible PlayStation5 Slurpee cups, a MTN DEW Slurpee flavour and gamer bundles can be delivered to customers' doors via the 7NOW app.

7NOW orders will receive a PlayStation 5 collectible bag, and every order with participating products will earn a chance to win a console and other prizes.
