Ted Baker taps Retail Assist Ra-X data exchange solution

Retail Assist has announced an extension in service provision to include data exchange support for Ted Baker.

The retailer will use the Ra-X service, with Retail Assist also providing key first and second line help desk support.

Ra-X helps retailers to share key product data in the required formats between stores, concessions, franchises, e-commerce sites and head offices.

Simon Brealy, Ted Baker’s Head of IT, says: “The transfer of sales and quality data is key for Ted Baker’s operations.”

“We needed a smooth and reliable data exchange solution partner that could work on a global scale to support our national and international stores. With our established relationship with Retail Assist, we’re happy to expand our relationship further.”

2021 RTIH Innovation Awards

Ted Baker has been shortlisted in the Most innovative UK retailer category at the 2021 RTIH Innovation Awards.

In 2021, Ted Baker became the first British fashion brand to launch a culture platform on invitation only audio-chat iPhone app Clubhouse.

It also made its first foray into the clothing gaming market, showcasing its autumn/winter brand campaign and clothing collections within its own universe on Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

It says that it is “experimenting with new and innovative digital formats in a bid to develop its cultural capital and capture market share from a Millennial audience”.

Also this year, Ted Baker launched Street Party Sessions, pitched as an immersive, digital first series of performances by British musicians Jungle, Joy Crookes, Little Simz, Bastille and Alicai Harley.
