Retail Technology Show 2022 website goes live
Events business Nineteen Group has officially added Retail Technology Show 2022 to its portfolio.
RTIH first reported on the new show last month, noting that it was being headed up by Matt Bradley, who was previously Director at RetailEXPO.
Retail Technology Show will take place at London’s Olympia on 26th-27th April 2022 and will, according to a press release, “bring together a diverse range of suppliers to showcase cutting-edge retail technology as part of its free to attend trade show”.
RTIH is pleased to be a media partner and will release further information on this in the near future.
Bradley, who founded Retail Business Technology Expo (RBTE) in 2011 and remained onboard when it rebranded to RetailEXPO a few years ago, is joined by several members of the original team.
This includes former co-founder of RBTE, Nick Field, who will sit on the expo’s advisory board alongside 15 industry advisors, retail leaders and influencers.
Bradley comments: “To call the unapparelled and extraordinary changes to we’ve seen in retail in the past year ‘unprecedented’ is, at best, an understatement and, at worst, wildly inaccurate.”
“Retail has irreversibly changed at an evolutionary pace no one could have predicted – and with that change comes both new challenges and emerging opportunities to build back better.”
He adds: “Retail Technology Show will help retailers navigate the new landscape in which they now operate, allowing them to build a roadmap to success, underpinned and accelerated by the very best technology and innovation.”
“The industry has been shaken up, so the time felt right to continue to evolve a new event format that matches these new needs as retailers look ahead to the future, and Nineteen Group’s track record of developing events that are at the heart of the communities they serve is the perfect place to do so.”
RetailEXPO
RetailEXPO last ran in 2019.
Along with news website Essential Retail, it was pulled due to the coronavirus outbreak and the organisers, Reed Exhibitions, have yet to confirm if it will return to action.
A statement posted on the company’s website says: “RetailEXPO is one of our valued brands and we will continue to stay close to and monitor the industry as the situation becomes clearer over the coming months.”
