E-commerce veteran Bob Schwartz joins ‘game changing’ Marketplacer

Australian retail technology startup, Marketplacer, has added Bob Schwartz to its Board of Directors.

Schwartz was an early member of the Magento team, culminating with a $1.7 billion acquisition by Adobe.

Prior to that, he helped guide and build the likes of Nordstrom.com, Wpromote, ONEHOPE Wine, and Good360.org.

“I’ve known Jason and have been following Marketplacer for years. I’m excited to join at this time of incredible fast growth for the company,” says Schwartz.

“I’ve brought several e-commerce technologies to market and I know the qualities of a successful game changing company and Marketplacer has them all; great leadership, team, culture and of course powerful technology that all companies can easily leverage to enable their own success and change market dynamics.”

“Time and time again, Bob has taken promising early growth companies and skilfully guided them on a path to success thanks to his understanding not only of technology and industry dynamics, but also the importance of a brand’s momentum, workplace culture, and team passion to a company’s success,” says Jason Wyatt, Executive Chairman and Co-Founder, Marketplacer.

“His unmatched experience in identifying and building some of the most successful e-commerce brands is going to be invaluable to us as we prepare to help everyone from individual innovators to big US companies leverage our marketplace technology and expertise and grow their businesses rapidly.
