Amazon Prime Day 2021 will take place in June
Amazon has announced that its annual Prime Day event will be held on 21st and 22nd June.
It kicks off on the 21st at midnight PDT (3 a.m. EDT) and runs through to the 22nd for Prime members in the US., the UK,, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Spain, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Portugal, Netherlands, Mexico, Luxembourg, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, China, Brazil, Belgium, Austria, and Australia.
Due to the increasing impact of Covid-19 in Canada and India, it has been postponed in those countries.
“Prime Day is a celebration of our Prime members, and we’re excited to bring members great deals across an incredible selection, whether members want to shop and save on top brands, buzzworthy items, or small business collections,” says Jamil Ghani, VP at Amazon Prime.
“Since we launched it in 2015, it’s delivered great new ways to shop, gift, watch movies and TV, and even dance, and we’re excited to carry on that tradition.”
Last year, the event took place in October.
It is typically held in mid-July, but was postponed amid the coronavirus outbreak as Amazon grappled with the unenviable task of handling both a surge in online orders and various rules designed to keep its warehouse workers safe.
