Walgreens looks to expand mobile reach and senior customer offerings
Walgreens has announced two startup challenges in collaboration with retail and consumer investment and innovation firm, True.
These will run until 25th June. Successful applicants will be asked to pitch to Walgreens.
The Mobile App Awareness Challenge involves the retailer looking for audience targeting solutions that will drive awareness of its mobile app services and content, to increase downloads and engagement.
In the Win Seniors to Omnichannel Challenge, meanwhile, Walgreens is encouraging applications from businesses that can support efforts to engage and boost conversion with the senior 65+ demographic.

Mike Tattersall, CCO at True, comments: “We’ve been working with Walgreens for a number of months now and are excited by the value we can provide – demonstrated neatly through the two innovation challenges we are launching today.”
“With extensive structural shifts in how consumers approach shopping for healthcare we believe we can be instrumental in providing tailored expertise and real impact for Walgreens.”
