Serve Robotics brings in retail veteran Prahar Shah as CRO
Autonomous sidewalk delivery firm, Serve Robotics, has appointed Prahar Shah as its Chief Revenue Officer.
Shah will lead Serve’s commercial efforts and oversee new partnerships and new verticals team as the company expands its robotic delivery platform.
As DoorDash’s first revenue leader, he built the business development, strategic partnerships, enterprise and new verticals functions during the company's formative years.
He led DoorDash’s partnerships with the likes of Taco Bell and The Cheesecake Factory, and also headed up expansion into new verticals such as alcohol, grocery, and convenience delivery.
Prior to DoorDash, Shah founded Mobee, a VC backed retail data company that was acquired by Wiser and continues to operate today.
“We couldn’t be more excited to have Prahar join the Serve team to lead our ongoing partnership expansion. He has the depth of food technology and business development experience to help us expand our growing platform,” says Serve Robotics co-founder and CEO, Dr. Ali Kashani.
“Prahar’s appointment will accelerate Serve’s path to commercial scale as we work to bring autonomous delivery to more cities and countries in the coming months.”
“Serve has demonstrated an impressive growth trajectory, becoming the market leader in autonomous delivery technology and commercial deployment of urban sidewalk robots” says Shah.
“The talent, product leadership , and immense partner interest in Serve reminds me of DoorDash’s earliest days. I’m thrilled to build on this considerable momentum to further scale the business.”

Last month, a Serve Robotics delivery robot failed to reroute around a police barrier due to human error.
Video of the robot crossing yellow caution tape and rolling through a crime scene in Los Angeles went viral.
In a statement posted on Twitter, Serve Robotics said: “While robots are capable of operating autonomously in most circumstances, they're assigned to human supervisors to ensure their safe operation, for instance when navigating a blockage.”
“We respect the important work of law enforcement and are taking steps to ensure our operating procedures are followed in the future.”
