Pricer seeks new CEO as Helena Holmgren quits
Helena Holmgren has resigned as CEO at electronic shelf labels (ESLs) specialist Pricer.
The search for a successor is now underway.
In the meantime, the company’s current Group Finance Director, Magnus Midgard, will be acting CEO, and Knut Faremo, Chairman of the Board, will be executive Chairman of the Board.
Holmgren spent seven years at Pricer, joining as CFO before becoming Acting CEO in 2017 and CEO in 2018.
She did not respond to RTIH’s request for comment on her next job.
“I would like to thank Helena for her contribution to Pricer, which today is a leading global player in digital store solutions,” says Faremo.
“Under Helena’s leadership, Pricer has made an extensive transformation, from a hardware supplier to a leading tech company in smart retail. The board and I regret that she has chosen to resign, but we respect her decision.”
“I am proud to have led Pricer for almost five years. During that time, we have made an extensive transformation of the company,” Holmgren comments.
“.We have dedicated employees who do a fantastic job every day, but after seven years with the company, I feel it’s time to hand over to someone else. The company is very well positioned, and I have therefore made the decision that now is the right time to hand over the leadership for the future.”
Plus
Earlier this week, Pricer announced an order of approximately 55 million SEK from the Dutch co-operative supermarket chain Plus to equip 80 stores previously under the Coop banner with ESLs.
Roll-out is set to start in April and to be finalised before the end of the year.
