Gweilo Beer and SALT Beer Factory announce NFT tie up in UK
Gweilo Beer and SALT Beer Factory are putting their beer in the hands of their UK consumers through NFTs.
The pair have teamed up with blockchain technology platform, Polygon, to create “an immersive community initiative for beer lovers and the NFT curious. The very first NFT beer that is designed by people, to be enjoyed by people.”
The brew is set to evolve every six months, with each new set of winners collaborating with the breweries to design the next flavour and can design. One winner will also receive a share in the revenues.

How? consumers who purchase the NFT beer can redeem their own Polygon NFT by scanning a QR code on the can, which will be stocked in selected Asda stores across the UK.
In a ‘golden ticket’ style lottery, three winners will be issued a speciality NFT:
The first winning NFT is the ‘Golden Cash Prize’, where the winner receives £500 of profits from the sale of the NFT beers.
The second winning NFT is the ‘Golden Recipe’, where a person will be given the opportunity to help develop the next NFT beer flavour.
Finally, the ‘Golden Label Design NFT’ provides the chance to work alongside Gweilo and SALT’s design teams to create the label for the next beer in the NFT series.
