“I am very grateful to all the people I have worked with at Dyson that have helped me develop to the point where I am ready to take on this new and exciting role.”

He described Halfords as a great business and Neil Holden (CIO at Halfords) as “an awesome chap on a mission.”

ShopLive

The Currys ShopLive omnichannel offering turned two in April.

The service, which launched in June 2020, connects customers to a video chat with a tech expert.

In a LinkedIn post, Gamble said: “ShopLive is an incredible way for us to engage with our customers, bringing the best of in-store and online together through a video call to help you choose, afford and enjoy your technology.”

He added: “With over four million calls under our belt and a 4.4/5 rating, customers are still telling us they love it.”

“Not bad for something initially built in six weeks. Really proud of the brilliant teams who made this possible and to our ShopLive superstars for delighting our customers, day in day out, for the last two years.”
