Start of a new adventure: VP of Marketing Shay Ziv departs autonomous stores specialist Trigo

Shay Ziv has left checkout-free stores big hitter, Trigo, where he served as VP of Marketing.

In a LinkedIn post, he said: “This marks the end of one chapter and the start of a new adventure. The past three years have been a fantastic ride.”

“Together with my team, we achieved the unimaginable - building a brand with the category's highest TOM, positioning Trigo as a category leader, gaining global traction, and standing tall against giants like Amazon. My thanks to my incredible team for your unwavering support, dedication, and passion.”

He added: “I’d like to thank our customers for allowing me to dream big and shape the category with visionary assets and original marketing strategies.”

“To the R&D team, your work inspired me daily. To the product and operations teams, your ability to turn vision into reality was our backbone. Thank you for your inspiration.”

Aldi Nord

Aldi Nord has redesigned its Trigo and shopreme powered Aldi Shop & Go store in the Dutch city of Utrecht.

In a LinkedIn post, Dr. Christian Bock, Team Lead Self-Service Checkout & Cashless Payment at Aldi Nord, said: “We are delighted to announce that we have taken another significant step towards an innovative and forward looking development, both technologically and business wise.”

“Our team takes immense pride in the redesign of our test store in Utrecht. Over the past year and a half, we've learned a great deal collaboratively with our customers, and it fills us with pride to incorporate these insights directly into the store's transformation.”
