4CAST Investment Group including Ben Stokes, Stuart Broad and Jofra Archer backs Sixes Social Cricket
Ahead of its US expansion, immersive cricket experience Sixes Social Cricket has secured an undisclosed investment from 4CAST Investment Group, which includes the likes of Ben Stokes, Stuart Broad, Jofra Archer, KL Rahul and Jason Roy.
Created by the founders of Scottish restaurant and butcher Mac & Wild, Calum Mackinnon and Andy Waugh, Sixes opened its inaugural site in Fulham in December 2020, with a food and drink offering at the heart of the experience.
There are now four sites across London, with further locations in Manchester, Birmingham and Leicester.
Upcoming openings are also confirmed for Brighton and Dallas, Texas, which marks Sixes’ first international site, opening on 17th June.
Powered by sports technology, and with challenge levels from complete beginner to world class, players select their level then step into the batting nets and test their batting skills against some of the world's greatest bowlers.
The aim of the game is to score as high as possible by striking the numbered targets around the nets.
“4CAST is the first athlete led entrepreneurial collective of its kind,” says 4CAST Director, Ruari Bell.
"Since its establishment in 2021, our organisation has provided a corporate avenue for internationally acclaimed athletes to venture into business and investment opportunities alongside their high sporting careers.”
"We are delighted to announce our partnership with Sixes,” says England international Stuart Broad.
“As one of our early investments, we believe Sixes is a fantastic concept that brings new experiences and innovations to cricket, whilst attracting new people to the sport. We are all excited to be part of its growth and development, particularly with the launch in the USA this June.”
Mackinnon, says: “One of our founding beliefs at Sixes is that sport and hospitality hold an unrivalled ability to unite and connect people for good, and good times shared. We look forward to sharing and building this next phase of the Sixes journey with 4CAST and their athletes.”
Sixes & 4CAST will be developing new game modes for guests as part of the partnership, including the 4CAST bowling attack where players can test their skills against the likes of Archer and Broad.
