Jennifer Roebuck takes on non-executive director role at all female members club AllBright
Jennifer Roebuck has joined the board of AllBright, a career network for women, as a NED.
Roebuck is currently CMO at Web3 specialist Metaversal.
She has also worked at Ted Baker (as Chief Customer Officer) and Sephora UK (as CMO).
AllBright launched in 2018 and supports women at all ages and professional stages with online training courses, events, exclusive content and networking opportunities. With a reach of 500,000, it serves as a space for women to connect, network and learn from eachother virtually and IRL.
In a LinkedIn post, Roebuck said: “This opportunity is so important to me at this stage of my career.”
“When I started my career, I didn't have anyone to advise me on how to navigate tricky situations and important presentations. I just stumbled through and came out the other side with battle scars and more intuition. After a lot of graft and long, long hours - I found myself at C-suite feeling blessed and uninspired.”
“It's amazing to see how many organisations now help women navigate work and life. However, too many focus on the wrong things in my opinion - getting women to the top, helping women compete with men.”
“These narratives are short-term and ineffective. We are starting to see women be honest about the fact that it’s hard to have a work life balance and more. That’s a good start!”
“Women need help navigating long, complex careers. If at 21 I'd known I would be exposed to such bizarre and unacceptable human behaviour - by men and women, I would approach things differently. There are no organisations with a perfect culture and leadership training is massively undervalued.”
It has been hard to miss the (very pink!) hype surrounding the release of the Barbie film. But how did a toy with a problematic past, turn into this year’s most anticipated, and lucrative, film? 💅🏽https://t.co/GRWIKxtP1n

She concluded: “When I met the new AllBright CEO Viviane Paxinos, I knew she was motivated by the right outcomes for women and organisations. Healthy cultures and capable leaders are the future.”
“Women don’t need another club that gives them a status badge - that isn’t helping anyone. Women need a forward thinking, grounded community they can get solid advice from irrespective of their status. I look forward to meeting others in the AllBright community and welcoming new members.”
