Nordic beauty company Lumene Group focuses on end-to-end supply chain planning with RELEX Solutions tie up
Lumene Group is expanding its use of RELEX Solutions supply chain planning software. This new phase sees the implementation of full supply planning capabilities including master production planning and production scheduling.
Lumene Group will also migrate to machine learning-based forecasting.
It sought an end-to-end supply chain planning solution to support its business growth over the coming years. It aimed to bring its master production planning and production scheduling capabilities to a new level in terms of optimisation and automation capabilities.
As such, the company wanted a solution that scales with the business and that can help it achieve high delivery accuracy to customers while also ensuring optimal inventory levels for both raw materials and end products across the supply chain.
It also notes that a highly configurable platform that integrates various planning functions of the business will ensure it is able to react swiftly to changes, minimise risks, and maintain a competitive advantage.
“We look forward to expanding our relationship with RELEX by integrating supply planning capabilities within our business. The demand planning capabilities we’ve used over the last 10 years have given us confidence in the system and supported our growth,” says Anna Huhtala, Supply Chain Director at Lumene Group.
“With this new integration, we can optimize our inventory and enhance our operational efficiency. This advancement also supports our vision to continue innovating in the beauty industry by meeting our customers’ demands effectively and sustainably.”
Lumene Group will implement inventory planning which provides optimised inventory across all channels and supply chain tiers resulting in increased stock availability and turnover. Distribution planning will also give visibility into its broad distribution network and allow it to get the right goods in the right place at the right time.
“I am thrilled that we will now deliver full end-to-end supply chain planning services to Lumene Group, a long standing customer,” says Emma Aidanpää-Salmi, Vice President Sales North, CPG&MFG at RELEX.
“Our supply planning capabilities will enable Lumene Group to realize their goal of bringing the power of the wild Nordic nature to everyone.”
2024 RTIH INNOVATION AWARDS
Supply chain technology was a key focus area at the sixth edition of the RTIH Innovation Awards.
The awards, sponsored by Vista Technology Support, Scala, CADS, 3D Cloud, Brightpearl by Sage’s Lightning 50, Business France, and Retail Technology Show 2025, celebrate global tech innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world.
Our 2024 hall of fame entrants were revealed during an event which took place at RIBA’s 66 Portland Place HQ in Central London on 21st November, and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by comedian Lucy Porter.
In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “The event is now into its sixth year and what a journey it has been. The awards started life as an online only affair during the Covid outbreak, before launching as a small scale in real life event and growing year on year to the point where we’re now selling out this fine, historic venue.”
He added: “Congratulations to all of our finalists. Many submissions did not make it through to the final stage, and getting to this point is no mean feat. Checkout-free stores, automated supply chains, immersive experiences, on-demand delivery, next generation loyalty offerings, inclusive retail, green technology. We’ve got all the cool stuff covered this evening.”
“But just importantly we’ve got lots of great examples of companies taking innovative tech and making it usable in everyday operations - resulting in more efficiency and profitability in all areas.”
Congratulations to our 2024 winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Lucy Porter, and all those who attended last month’s gathering.
