VoCoVo boosts senior leadership team to support its international growth and AI powered CX plans

Retail communications specialist, VoCoVo, has announced two key senior appointments.

Dan Creed joins the C-Suite as Chief People Officer, while Theo Theodorou has been appointed Customer Experience (CX) Director.

Creed will focus on strengthening employee engagement, well being and talent development with the aim of fostering a high performance culture that scales in line with VoCoVo’s expansion and growth plans.

Bringing 25 years of HR leadership in scaling technology businesses such as TM Group (UK) and Celesio to the role, he joins from CV Library, where he served as People and Culture Director.

Creed says: “Fast growth opportunities are where my passion lies, and VoCoVo is an incredibly exciting phase of growth. The business has already invested heavily in its people, building a highly talented and engaged team. My focus now is to build on that foundation, strengthening our high performance culture and implementing the frameworks and tools that will help our people thrive.”

Theodorou, meanwhile, will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the customer experience strategy. He will spearhead the application of AI to enhance customer facing experiences and accelerate innovation across global customer operations.

Theodorou spent over a decade ar Hertz, where he led global customer operations and the company’s EMEA CX programmes. He also consulted on major CX programmes for FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 companies at CX technology provider InMoment.

He says: “Customer experience is entering a new chapter, with AI reshaping how organisations understand and support their customers. Technology is a vital part of this shift, but it only creates true value when it empowers people to do their best work, reminding us that technology enhances the journey, but humans set the standard and turn good experiences into the best ones.”

“At VoCoVo, I’ll be focusing on the balance between human connection and innovation, working with our team and retailers to strengthen long-term relationships and outcomes. I’m excited to work with its talented team and its impressive customer base.”

Beth Worrall, CEO at VoCoVo, comments: “Our strength comes from the talent and passion of our people, and I’m thrilled to welcome Dan and Theo to the team. Both their experience and expertise will be invaluable as we continue to evolve, grow and lead the way in connected retail.”

2025 RTIH INNOVATION AWARDS

Retail communications was a key focus area at the 2025 RTIH Innovation Awards.

VoCoVo, Everseen, Sensei, Gander, Iceland, Olio, Trust Retail, East of England Co-op, Lekkerland SE, Poq, Mamas & Papas, Varner, Sitoo, and Zebra Technologies were among our winners this year.

We received a record number of entries and many fantastic examples of the continued resilience and dynamism of the retail space during hugely challenging times.

Our 2025 hall of fame entrants were revealed during a sold out event which took place at The HAC in Central London on 16th October and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by award winning comedian, actress and writer Tiff Stevenson.

In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “This is the awards’ fifth year as a physical event. We started off with just 30 people at the South Place Hotel not far from here, then moved to London Bridge Hotel, then The Barbican, and last year RIBA’s HQ in the West End.”

“But I’m conscious of the fact that, to quote the legend that is Taylor Swift, You’re only as hot as your last hit, baby. So, this year we’ve moved to our biggest venue yet, and also pulled in our largest number of entries to date and broken attendance records.”

He added: “This year’s submissions have without doubt been our best yet. To quote one of the judges: The examples of innovative developments across both traditional and digital retail spaces were truly remarkable.”

Congratulations to our winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Tiff Stevenson, and all those who attended our 2025 gathering.
