Primark launches internal careers website in Ireland and US with more markets to follow

Primark has launched a new internal careers website and underlying applicant tracking system in the Republic of Ireland and the US.

"It has been an incredible experience to work on this project and even though I wasn't there from the beginning, getting to project manage something as great as our internal career site has been a privilege and a pleasure," says Eoin ONeill, Project Management Specialist for the Talent Function at Primark.

"This project will make a huge difference to so many present and future colleagues and it will give our people the tools they need to find their place at Primark."

He adds: "The number one person to recognise for their tireless and passionate work is Ellie Chambers. Ellie took her years of experience at Primark, mixed with incredible efforts to survey colleagues on what they need from an internal career site and then lead this project with such a clear, inspiring vision.”

“There are also so many others to thank for their work on this project and so I need to give a huge shout out to Minnie Pangli, Hannah Davis, Dean S., Lucy Williams, Chris Hulbert, Maisie Beckenham, Shauna Kenny, Marcus McNeilly, Eleanor Dennehy, Elizabeth MacGregor, Matt Taylor, Matthew Porter, Sinead Murphy, Russell Probert, Katharina Weidmann, Tanesha Carter and so many more. Over 80,000 colleagues globally will benefit from the project.

ONeill concludes: "I couldn't be more proud of our hard work and devotion to doing right by our colleagues. I've learned so much and had the opportunity to work with so many amazing people. And now we get to work on launching the rest of our markets, reporting and getting as much feedback as we can."

2025 RTIH INNOVATION AWARDS

Transformation projects will be a key focus area at the 2025 RTIH Innovation Awards.

The awards. which are now open for entries, celebrate global tech innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world.

Our 2024 hall of fame entrants were revealed during an event which took place at RIBA’s 66 Portland Place HQ in Central London on 21st November, and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by comedian Lucy Porter.

In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “The event is now into its sixth year and what a journey it has been. The awards started life as an online only affair during the Covid outbreak, before launching as a small scale in real life event and growing year on year to the point where we’re now selling out this fine, historic venue.”

He added: “Congratulations to all of our finalists. Many submissions did not make it through to the final stage, and getting to this point is no mean feat. Checkout-free stores, automated supply chains, immersive experiences, on-demand delivery, next generation loyalty offerings, inclusive retail, green technology. We’ve got all the cool stuff covered this evening.”

“But just importantly we’ve got lots of great examples of companies taking innovative tech and making it usable in everyday operations - resulting in more efficiency and profitability in all areas.”
