Nathan Stanton swaps digital analytics for online marketplace team at B&Q

Nathan Stanton has departed the digital analytics team at B&Q and is moving over to B&Q Marketplace.

In a LinkedIn post, he said: "Today marks my final day leading the digital analytics team at B&Q, and I’ve taken a moment to reflect on the journey. I could talk about the many things we’ve achieved together, or the challenges we’ve overcome. I could focus on how we strengthened our influence, built a reputation for excellence, and continually deepened our expertise."

"All of that is true - and all of it makes me deeply proud. But what truly sets this team apart is something else entirely: our culture. Together, we’ve built a team grounded in genuine care for one another - where we challenge each other to be our best, invest in personal development, and are willing to keep learning even when it’s hard. We laugh together. We’re honest with one another. And we win - always as one team."

He added: "It’s through this deep trust that we’re able to face challenges head on, with an unwavering belief that anything is achievable when we collaborate and approach obstacles with a shared growth mindset."

"Leading this high performing team for the past four and a half years has been the greatest privilege of my professional career. I’m immensely grateful for the trust placed in me by my leaders - thank you for the empowerment, the support, and the space to learn from mistakes and push harder."

“And thank you to my brilliant Digital Analytics colleagues, along with all those who’ve partnered with and supported us across B&Q, Kingfisher and beyond. I have no doubt this team will continue to grow from strength to strength, providing the rich insight needed to support B&Q’s purpose of better homes, better lives - for everyone."

The move to the B&Q Marketplace team will see Stanton bringing an analytical lens to lead strategic and commercial planning as the team aims to sustainably grow the online offering.

2026 RTIH Innovation Awards

Online marketplaces will be a key focus area at the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards.

The awards will open for entries in April. They celebrate global retail technology innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world.

Our winners will be revealed at the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards Ceremony, taking place at The HAC in Central London on Thursday, 15th October.

Check out our 2025 winners here.

Our 2025 hall of fame entrants were revealed during a sold out event which took place at The HAC on 16th October and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by award winning comedian, actress and writer Tiff Stevenson.

In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “This is the awards’ fifth year as a physical event. We started off with just 30 people at the South Place Hotel not far from here, then moved to London Bridge Hotel, then The Barbican, and last year RIBA’s HQ in the West End.”

“But I’m conscious of the fact that, to quote the legend that is Taylor Swift, You’re only as hot as your last hit, baby. So, this year we’ve moved to our biggest venue yet, and also pulled in our largest number of entries to date and broken attendance records.”

He added: “This year’s submissions have without doubt been our best yet. To quote one of the judges: The examples of innovative developments across both traditional and digital retail spaces were truly remarkable.”

Congratulations to our winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Tiff Stevenson, and all those who attended our 2025 gathering.
