Post-purchase intelligence platform Narvar announces the return of founder Amit Sharma as CEO
Retail intelligence specialist Narvar is welcoming its founder Amit Sharma back as CEO. Sharma stepped down from the position and moved to an advisory role in 2024, with Anisa Kumar taking on head honcho duties. Kumar joined the San Francisco-based company in late 2021 as Chief Customer Officer.
A spokesperson for Narvar says: “Amit founded Narvar in 2012 with a vision to transform how retailers connect with customers after the sale. Under his leadership, Narvar helped establish the post-purchase category and grew into a trusted partner to more than 1,500 brands and retailers.”
“He returns at a pivotal moment for retail, as AI reshapes how consumers discover, evaluate and purchase products. With deep expertise in the industry and firsthand knowledge of the challenges retailers face, Amit will lead the company into its next chapter, building on the trust, technology and product innovations that have defined it from the start. We thank Anisa Kumar for her leadership and contributions over the past five years and wish her continued success.”
“I'm excited to be back leading Narvar and grateful for the opportunity to build on what we started together more than a decade ago,” says Sharma. “When I founded Narvar, we saw an opportunity to transform the relationship between retailers and their customers by making the experience after checkout just as important as the purchase itself. Today, as AI begins to change how people shop, I see even bigger opportunity to help brands and retailers navigate what's next.”
He adds: “We've spent years earning the trust of some of the world's leading brands, and that trust is something I value enormously. I'm looking forward to spending time with our team, listening to our customers and working together with our key partners to shape the retail industry's next chapter. More to come!”
Narvar did not respond to our request for comment regarding Kumar’s position at the company moving forward.
