Fluent Commerce tech tapped by Fnac Darty for order management and omnichannel strategy push
Fluent Commerce, a provider of order management solutions, has announced the deployment of its technology by French retailer, Fnac Darty.
This is part of a push to modernise its information system, named HORIZON, and within the framework of the execution of its Beyond Everyday strategic plan.
By 2030, Fnac Darty aims to consolidate its omnichannel model, strengthen its positioning in terms of customer experience, and continue the development of its value added services. In a context of growing omnichannel usage, Fluent Commerce will provide Fnac Darty with a platform capable of orchestrating and automating the entire order lifecycle, regardless of the sales channels (e-commerce, stores, or marketplaces).
The implementation of a unified order management system (OMS), led and executed by VISEO, will make it possible to centralise data and provide a consolidated, real-time view of inventory, product availability, and order status.
Thanks to Fluent Commerce’s artificial intelligence capabilities, Fnac Darty will be able to anticipate demand, optimise inventory allocation, and offer more personalised customer journeys across all sales channels. A unified OMS will also serve as an execution foundation to more easily deploy new sales channels, particularly with a view to the development of agentic commerce.
This new platform will also contribute to the convergence of business processes between Fnac and Darty, notably through the harmonisation of operational flows.
With Fluent Order Management, Fluent Commerce provides Fnac Darty with a cloud native, modular, and scalable platform, designed to integrate within its IT ecosystem and support the transformation of its operations. Based on an API first architecture and configurable business rules, the solution offers the group the flexibility required to rapidly evolve its processes and deploy new use cases.
Olivier Theulle, Chief E-commerce & Digital Officer at Fnac Darty, says: “Implementing a unified OMS represents an important step in modernising Fnac Darty’s technology ecosystem. Fluent Order Management will help us define new standards for customer experience, building on increasingly intuitive, personalised, and consistent journeys between digital and physical channels.”
Graham Jackson, CEO at Fluent Commerce, says: “What Fnac Darty is building is a blueprint for the future of omnichannel retail in Europe. Unifying Fnac and Darty's operations across every channel, from e-commerce to stores to marketplaces, is exactly the kind of transformation Fluent Order Management was built for, and we're proud to be at the heart of their HORIZON programme.”
2026 RTIH Innovation Awards
Omnichannel retail will be a key focus area at the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards.
The awards are now open for entries and celebrate global retail technology innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world.
Our winners will be revealed at the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards Ceremony, taking place at The HAC in Central London on Wednesday, 4th November.
Check out our 2025 winners here.
Our 2025 hall of fame entrants were revealed during a sold out event which took place at The HAC on 16th October and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by award winning comedian, actress and writer Tiff Stevenson.
In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “This is the awards’ fifth year as a physical event. We started off with just 30 people at the South Place Hotel not far from here, then moved to London Bridge Hotel, then The Barbican, and last year RIBA’s HQ in the West End.”
“But I’m conscious of the fact that, to quote the legend that is Taylor Swift, You’re only as hot as your last hit, baby. So, this year we’ve moved to our biggest venue yet, and also pulled in our largest number of entries to date and broken attendance records.”
He added: “This year’s submissions have without doubt been our best yet. To quote one of the judges: The examples of innovative developments across both traditional and digital retail spaces were truly remarkable.”
Congratulations to our winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Tiff Stevenson, and all those who attended our 2025 gathering.
