Former Lloyds Banking Group exec Enrique Del Rio named President at customer engagement firm Reward

Customer engagement and commerce media platform, Reward, reports Enrique Del Rio has been appointed President as the business pursues growth across the UK and Europe.

Having spent 15 years at Lloyds Banking Group, as well as other senior roles at Goldman Sachs, Barclays Capital, Deutsche Bank and Bankers Trust, he brings with him more than three decades of global financial services experience.

Del Rio will oversee the next phase of commercial growth, building on its partnerships with UK's banks and expanding its activation and intelligence capabilities for retailers and brands. He will also lead Reward's growth in priority European markets and build on strategic partnerships, including Visa, with the aim of turning the company's data and technology into significant new opportunities for Reward and its partners.

His appointment comes as Reward strengthens its finance media network, connecting banks, retailers and brands through transaction intelligence, customer engagement and commerce media, backed by owner Rezolve Ai’s technology and global reach.

Del Rio comments ‘’ I've been deeply impressed by Reward's position in the market. Few businesses can match the strength of its banking partnerships, the depth of its transaction intelligence and its ability to connect banks, retailers and brands at scale. Having spent much of my career in banking, I understand the commercial opportunity these capabilities create. My focus will be on taking Reward's innovation to market, deepening strategic partnerships and building significant new revenue opportunities across the UK and Europe.’’

James House, CEO at Reward says ‘’ Enrique's appointment is a significant step in our growth across the UK and Europe. He combines deep banking expertise with a strong track record of building commercial relationships and turning data led innovation into new revenue opportunities. His experience gives him a valuable understanding of what banks need as they seek to create more relevant customer experiences and unlock greater value from data. Together with Rezolve Ai's technology and global reach, that perspective will be instrumental as we expand our intelligence proposition and capture the opportunities emerging from agentic commerce.’’

2026 RTIH Innovation Awards

Agentic commerce will be a key focus area at the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards.

The awards are now open for entries and celebrate global retail technology innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world.

Our winners will be revealed at the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards Ceremony, taking place at The HAC in Central London on Wednesday, 4th November.

Check out our 2025 winners here.

Our 2025 hall of fame entrants were revealed during a sold out event which took place at The HAC on 16th October and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by award winning comedian, actress and writer Tiff Stevenson.

In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “This is the awards’ fifth year as a physical event. We started off with just 30 people at the South Place Hotel not far from here, then moved to London Bridge Hotel, then The Barbican, and last year RIBA’s HQ in the West End.”

“But I’m conscious of the fact that, to quote the legend that is Taylor Swift, You’re only as hot as your last hit, baby. So, this year we’ve moved to our biggest venue yet, and also pulled in our largest number of entries to date and broken attendance records.”

He added: “This year’s submissions have without doubt been our best yet. To quote one of the judges: The examples of innovative developments across both traditional and digital retail spaces were truly remarkable.”

Congratulations to our winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Tiff Stevenson, and all those who attended our 2025 gathering.
