150…Burberry has struck a global partnership with online luxury fashion platform, Farfetch, as it looks to pull in a “young fashion-conscious consumer.” All of its products will be sold online to Farfetch customers in 150 countries.
$3.3 trillion…E-retail sales will surpass $3.3 trillion this year, up 10% on 2017’s total of $3 trillion, according to Juniper Research.
73% of UK consumers said they would spend more in stores on Valentine’s Day if they received personalised offers via their smartphones. And 54% believed that hyper-local promotions relating to stores or localities would also increase their romantic expenditure, according to research from Vista Retail Support, involving 200 people.
1.12 billion…More than a third of smartphone users will this year use in-store mobile payments at least once every six months, according to eMarketer. By 2021, that figure will reach 39.8%, or roughly 1.12 billion people.

55,000…Following its acquisition late last year of membership-based grocery marketplace Shipt, Target is to begin offering same-day delivery in its own backyard of Minnesota.
From next month, Shipt will make deliveries across the Twin Cities metro area of more than 55,000 groceries, essentials, home, electronics, toys and other products. It will do this from approximately 50 Target stores and will reach around 1.2 million households. To support the roll-out, the two companies are looking to hire as many as 4,000 shoppers and delivery people in the Twin Cities.
