Tipsy Brits have peculiar e-commerce habits
20% of British consumers do their online shopping from work, whilst 4% admit that being drunk was the reason for a purchase. That’s according to research by marketplace, Onbuy.com, involving 1,550 people.
The toilet is also a popular location for 8% of Brits, with residents from the West Midlands enjoying this habit the most. Worryingly, buying items from e-tailers while driving is common in some regions, particularly the North East.
Shopping online has become a daily habit for some Brits with the research showing that 10% of them would visit stores with the purpose of buying multiple times a day, and 15% would do it once a day. Whilst 25% visit online stores with the purpose of buying multiple times a week, 30% enjoy this habit only once a week. 23% have admitted to visiting online stores with the purpose of buying only once a month.
