Six retailers/brands that are so innovative right now

These retailers and brands are leading the way in providing technology and experiences that are one step ahead of their customers’ expectations.

1. Amazon

Amazon is looking to bring the technology that runs its Go cashierless stores to other retailers.

According to a report by CNBC, citing people familiar with the matter, it has been in talks to deploy the underlying tech in OTG’s CIBO Express stores at airports and Cineworld’s Regal cinemas. Another person said Amazon is targeting concession stands in baseball stadiums.

2. Fashion Bunker

Fashion Bunker has adopted new technology from Nosto as it looks to boost its e-commerce personalisation strategy.

The A/B Testing and Optimisation (ABTO) solution allows companies to try out personalised product recommendations and content such as banner images, headlines and copy across any number of pages - on desktop and mobile.

3. Sainsbury’s

Sainsbury’s commercial and technology teams, in partnership with Accenture, are building machine learning technology solutions on the Google Cloud Platform to spot shopper trends and adjust inventory accordingly.

4. Farfetch

Sorted has inked a deal with Farfetch to integrate its technology into the online fashion venture’s logistics, carrier and delivery operations. 

5. Tesco

Tesco has made an undisclosed investment in Israeli startup Trigo Vision’s frictionless shopping platform.

6. UULITS Tänavagurmee

Fastbitcoins, a UK-based company whose PoS terminals allow merchants to sell and accept Bitcoin payments in real-time over the Lightning Network, has partnered with Estonian burger chain UULITS Tänavagurmee (Uulits Street Gourmet).
