Magnolia raids Oracle for new CEO

Magnolia, an open source content management solution provider used by the likes of Tesco and Migros, has appointed Tim Brown as CEO.

Brown, who heads to Magnolia from Oracle, brings more than two decades of experience in the marketing technology industry as both a corporate executive and investor. Former CEO and Co-Founder, Pascal Mangold, will continue to serve on the Board of Directors.

“Since founding the company, we’ve made meaningful strides towards building a content management system that marketers can truly trust. With that said, I couldn’t be more proud of everything we’ve accomplished to date,” says Mangold.

“Tim is the right person to build on this momentum. He has a proven track record of scaling marketing technology companies, like Magnolia, into category leaders. I am looking forward to working with him in his new role as CEO.”
