Stein Mart announces Amazon lockers deal

Last week, we reported that Amazon was teaming with Next for the UK launch of Counter. And now another bricks and mortar retailer is turning to the e-commerce giant in an attempt to keep its stores relevant.

Discount chain operator Stein Mart is to install Amazon Hub lockers in nearly 200 stores across 28 US states. “We are thrilled to offer this innovative delivery experience to Amazon customers while introducing new shoppers to Stein Mart,” says Hunt Hawkins, Stein Mart’s CEO. "Customer service and convenience are top priorities at Stein Mart, and the ability to give both to Amazon customers was a big factor in our decision to introduce this programme.”

“Amazon will go where our customers are and deliver where and when they need us,” adds Patrick Supanc, Amazon Worldwide Director of Lockers and Pickup. “This roll-out is a great opportunity to provide a seamless shopping and delivery experience for our joint customers.”
