Klarna lands iSmash payments partnership
Klarna has teamed with iSmash, enabling the latter’s customers to use its Pay in 3 in-store product for splitting the cost of their tech repairs into three equal instalments.
iSmash has tailored Klarna’s solution to provide payments for customers who don’t have access to their phones. Founded in 2013, the venture has expanded to 26 High Street, train station and shopping centre locations across the UK, including Canary Wharf and Oxford Circus in London, Manchester and Leeds. It is eyeing 70 stores by the end of 2020, focusing on catchment areas outside the capital, such as Glasgow, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Liverpool and Southampton.
“Since we launched, we’ve always been looking at ways to improve the experience of our customers, and make our repair services more accessible. Losing access to your phone, laptop or tablet isn’t just inconvenient — it can make day-to-day activities frustrating and much more long winded than usual,” says Julian Shovlin, Founder and Managing Director at iSmash.
“We want to make sure that stressful feeling stops the minute a customer walks into our store. We offer people a fast, effective and professional in-store service that delivers when it comes to fixing technology, and our partnership with Klarna means that smooth experience extends all the way to the till. Giving customers what they want is the driving force behind our success, and we can’t wait to see how Klarna’s payment options help our customers in the future.”
