Taco Bell announces Certona personalisation project

Taco Bell is tapping into Certona’s personalisation platform to boost its mobile experience.

The latter’s AI-powered solution allows Taco Bell to pull mobile app data such as a customer’s past orders, favourite menu items and dietary preferences, as well as external influences like weather and location. Such information can then be utilised to make more relevant menu recommendations and promote alternative or premium product suggestions.

“We know each of our fans has their favourites and their own preferences. As a forward-looking company, we’re using the latest machine learning and AI technology to better deliver on those individual preferences,” says Derrick Chan, Director E-commerce at Taco Bell.

“That’s why we are thrilled to work with Certona and leverage their proven personalisation platform with real-time support to present our fans with the most immediately craveable menu items every time they use our app, reducing the ordering friction and satisfying their appetite.”
