Six stand out retail tech funding rounds in 2020

RTIH rounds up the retail technology ventures who have been making waves with major investments.

1. Supermercato24

Italian startup Supermercato24 has raised €11 million as it looks to expand in Europe.

2. Formulate

Swedish startup Formulate, which specialises in AI-driven solutions for retail promotions, has closed a late-seed round of €3.7 million, led by henQ and also including Industrifonden and J12 Ventures. 

3. OnBuy

UK-based online marketplace OnBuy.com has secured a £3 million investment from Fuel Ventures.

4. Dixa

Customer engagement platform startup, Dixa, has closed a $36 million Series B round led by Notion Capital, with participation from existing investors Project A Ventures and SEED Capital.

5. Deliverr

Deliverr has announced a $40 million Series C round led by Activant Capital.

Other investors in the online fulfilment startup include 8VC, GLP and Flexport founder and CEO Ryan Peterson. The company has raised a total of $70 million.

6. Loyalty Prime

German startup Loyalty Prime, developer of an SaaS-based loyalty platform, has closed a €5 million Series B round.
