How much will it cost you NOT to have a website?

A website is something almost every single business out there has; it’s your own online portal, it’s the place where your customers can collect and shop, and it’s a place that you can use to advertise as often and as much as possible. A website really opens up the market to you, and it’s one of the best ways to maintain a relevant and constant presence.

However, over 30% of small businesses don’t have their own website, and for a variety of reasons. Making this decision could be one of the worst business moves, because it’s going to cost you a lot to stay offline. Why? Let’s go into a few details.

You won’t have your own platform

Without your own platform, there’s no way you can collect all of your data and resources together. And when you don’t have your own platform, you’re customers (and any potential customers) are going to get confused - they won’t have any website to visit in order to see your products, and to experience the customer service you have on offer. That’s very bad for business.

A website doesn’t have to be hard to put together, and you could have an online platform of your own up and running in a matter of days. Your online presence could soar - you'll finally have a good foundation to base the rest of your online actions on; that’s convenient for both you and your customer base.

You won’t have customer credibility

Customers need to see that a brand has a website in order to trust them. In this modern day and age, people shop online most of the time, especially with small businesses and brands; these businesses don’t have a store presence, and the adverts they run online are the main way they attract people towards their products.

However, if you only have a social media presence, and no actual website of your own, there’s a good chance customers will turn away after only a few seconds of interest. So, you’ll have no credibility, and you’ll have no way of tracking who is coming in and out - your website will have better analytics, and a better way to make use of customer data. If you don't have a website, there’s a good chance you won’t be able to advertise properly.

You could lose everything

One of the main issues with not having a website is the fact that you could lose your entire online presence. After all, if you rely on other hosting websites, or you rely on social media alone, someone else is in charge of your content.

It’s just another reason you need your own website design; a website that’s professionally built and runs on its own code is going to ensure you’re always in control of what happens to your brand online.

Not having a website could cost you thousands in the end; you could lose your presence, lose customers, and that’ll put your business right back to square one.
