Amazon launches 2021 Christmas advert and online shop
Amazon has given a first look at a global Christmas campaign that tells the story of a young woman connecting with a neighbour amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Ed Smith, EU GM of Integrated Marketing at Amazon, says: “This holiday season will be shaped by what we've experienced during the pandemic.”
“The past 18 months have been challenging for people across the globe, including many young adults. Our time together cannot be taken for granted.”
“So this year, whilst the world will not be totally back to normal, opportunities for kindness and connection will take on a newfound importance.”

To coincide with the launch of the campaign, customers can browse The Amazon Christmas Shop, which opens for business today.
Holborn here we come!
Amazon is gearing up to open an Amazon Fresh location in Holborn, London.
No news on the exact launch date. But we can reveal that this will be the e-commerce giant’s seventh such UK convenience store to feature Just Walk Out Shopping tech, which was pioneered at the Amazon Go offering in the States.
The other six are in Camden, Ealing, Wembley Park, White City, Canary Wharf and Dalston. Opening hours are from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm, seven days a week.
Customers use the Amazon app to enter and put their phone away and shop for what they need. At the end of their visit, they can head for the exit, with no need to stand in a queue or check out.
Amazon is planning further openings in the greater London area, with reports suggesting Bankside could be next, although it has not revealed exact numbers or locations.
