Currys preps major January technology sales event

UK electrical retailer, Currys, has announced deals across a range of tech in its January sale event.

Top savings include £1,200 off the Samsung Smart 8K HDR Neo QLED TV with Alexa & Google Assistant (now £2,799) and 50% off the Samsung All-in-One Sound Bar with Amazon Alexa.

There is also 66% off selected coffee machines, including the Dolce Gusto by De'Longhi Infinissima, now £34.

Customers can seek advice in-store and online through the retailer’s ShopLive service on anything from features and functions to sizing and spec.

They can also head into store and recycle their small tech or have larger appliances collected from their homes, free of charge.

All 294 Currys stores in the UK offer order and collect services with each able to fulfil same and next day orders.

Currently, 95% of these stores offer car park collection, and shoppers can also opt to use a ‘check-in’ system when placing their order to have a colleague meet them outside the building.

Ed Connolly, Chief Commercial Officer at Currys, says: “We want to give our customers access to amazing tech at amazing prices, particularly during a month where we know people are looking to save money.”

He concludes: “We’re also ensuring customers can shop in the safest way possible. From order and collect, to our Uber delivery trial for Londoners, there is a whole host of zero contact initiatives on offer, meaning our customers can shop for top tech quickly and safely.”
