Libby Kinsey takes on data science role at Ocado Technology
Libby Kinsey has joined Ocado Technology as Head of Data Science Strategy and Operations.
Ocado Technology is, to quote the company’s Twitter bio, “powering the future of online retail through disruptive innovation in robotics and IoT, cloud platforms, Big Data, AI, software development, and beyond”.
It is best know for the Ocado Smart Platform, an e-commerce, fulfilment and logistics platform.
Kinsey is the Co-founder of Project Juno, which focuses on machine intelligence startups and capital.
She has also worked with Digital Catapult, first as a consultant, then maternity cover as Head of Technology and Lead Technologist for Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
On her LinkedIn profile, she describes herself as a “smart generalist, focused on machine intelligence for the past five years.”
She continues: “I combine a mathematics background, deep technical interest, and business sensibility from 10 years in venture capital.”
“I keep up with current technical research in AI and its ethical, legal and societal implications. I took time out of my VC career in 2014-15 to do an MSc in machine learning.”
