Critizr celebrates retail Covid heroes with Proud of My Store launch

Customer interaction management specialist Critizr has launched an initiative called Proud of My Store.

It is asking retail teams to share stories from their stores of customer service that went above and beyond during the coronavirus pandemic, with prizes for monthly winners and one overall 'proudest store' award picking up a luxury hamper for the whole team and £300 for their favourite charity.

Anyone working in retail - supermarkets, convenience stores, independent boutiques, pharmacies, bars, restaurants, gyms, salons - can log on here to write a few sentences about why they are proud of their team.

Hazel Morton, UK Head of Marketing at Critizr, says: ‘What retail stores and frontline staff have achieved over the past 12 months is incredible – and we believe this should be celebrated.”

“As we emerge from lockdown, #ProudOfMyStore will share some of these inspiring acts of team work, compassion and community spirit from store staff around the UK, which meant so much to customers during lockdown.”

By way of example, she flags up The Cakery in Leamington Spa which was hit hard by the coronavirus outbreak

“They kept the business going with a shift to online and responded to changing regulations with a ‘cake hatch’ and drive-by ‘contactless cakes’. They rebranded during downtime and looked after their community with deliveries for NHS and other frontline workers.” Morton adds.

“It’s stories like this that have generated a real sense of pride amongst everyone in the retail sector for the way staff met the challenge of Covid, and so many amazing stories that have yet to be told.”

“As we move on to brighter days ahead for our high streets, please join us in celebrating just how brilliantly the UK’s store teams delivered during the pandemic. It’s something that we should all be proud of.”
