Costa Coffee looks to build world class data capability
Costa Coffee is recruiting for a Data Scientist to join its digital team.
A job spec states: “You’ll work closely with the Senior Manager, Global Data Science & Analytics.”
“You will support the design, development and build of algorithmic, machine learning and statistical models that will deliver growth in Costa’s net sales and operating income from improved personalisation and engagement with consumers.”
It adds: “You’ll own data science projects from initiation to test and full implementation.”
Ed Child
Last month, Ed Child joined Costa Coffee as Global Head Consumer Data & Digital Analytics.
Child previously worked at Studio Retail as Head of Enterprise Data Products & Insight.
His CV also includes stints as Head of Customer Data & Data Science at Asda and Director - Global Customer Insight & Analytics at Walmart.
Flagging up the Data Scientist role in a LinkedIn post, he said: “Great opportunity to join our team.”
“I'm personally four weeks in to my own Costa adventure and have never been more energised or excited about a role and company. We're continuing to build world class capability to put our amazing data to work around Costa.”
