Hermes expands ParcelShop UK network with Tesco tie up
Hermes has partnered with Tesco to provide ParcelShop services across its UK convenience store estate.
This will commence from 6th September in the first phase of stores and a continued roll-out is planned over the coming months.
The ParcelShop estate, which enables people to send, collect and return parcels, currently includes more than 6,000 independent retailers, retail groups and lockers.
Hermes predicts that by 2022, 80% of the UK’s population will be within a 10 minute walk of their nearest ParcelShop or locker. It also expects to handle more than 80 million parcels through its network this year.
Kath Gill, Head of ParcelShop Services at Hermes, says: “We’re really excited to announce our new partnership with Tesco, which will make ParcelShop services even more accessible to people across the UK, at a time when we know people are looking for maximum convenience and options for sending, receiving and returning their parcels.”
“The last 18 months have demonstrated the importance of being able to meet ever changing consumer demands when it comes to both online shopping and customer-to-customer sending, so we continue to invest in our infrastructure, technology and services to support the nation.”
